10 ways to avoid my assignment:

1)      Drink a beer on the balcony and talk to my friends about my assignment
2)      Make this blog
3)      Satiate a sudden and overwhelming need for Pho Ga. In Preston.
4)      Drink 17 cups of coffee
5)      Walk the Merri Creek Walking Trail.
6)      Read old journal entries
7)      Read a text book. “Why Warriors Lie Down And Die”. Not related to assignment
8)      Listen to Jen’s show Homebrew on PBS.
9)      Research ethical clothing and the horrors of cheap slave labour textile manufacturing.
10)   Consider recolouring hair roots. Consider learning the art of threading to de-thread leg hairs. Consider starting a threading business where I could employ disadvantaged young women, teach them eco, sustainable and cheap beauty treatments and how they could start their own businesses and thus end their poverty cycle. Perhaps even a chain. A home party franchise. Like Tupperware. But threading. Threading for Poverty. Threading for Poverty where the profits go to women in Afghanistan who really thread to help them set up a treading business and then, make a blog about it.

I wish I could include the back of this postcard. It is from a very dear man who later became a love of my life. It was on my wall for years. Now in my heart.
